COPE TPM in Prague, Czech Republic

Project #COPE – Concrete PEer to peer solutions and support among youth for mentally coping with the anxiety and stress associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The global community has faced one of the most serious crises in recent times with the #COVID-19 pandemic since 2019 and the losses have been caused by the ongoing war in Ukraine – having affected people´s lives and #health in many aspects. The impact is dual, referring not only to the health issues of those hospitalized, but also to the mental health of refugees and the general population and especially youth as an outcome of their daily lives’ disruption and uncertainty of the future.
The COPE Project addresses the need for new approaches, and educational opportunities to improve young people’s health and wellbeing, and resources for coping with war and #pandemic, while at the same time highlights the need for enhancing the capacity and #digital readiness of youth workers, along with the creation of new skills’ recognition pathways for improved #employment and mobility opportunities via a digitalized arts-based peer support approach.

To this aim, the focus is put on most vulnerable groups and particularly on young people: (1) at risk of social exclusion and (2) affected by war.
On 6 and 7 February 2023, the consortium met in #Prague to set a concrete path to implement the project and to set deadlines for the next two years. We are excited to begin working in his important challenge that affects the lives of many young people across Europe.
